Oh the traffic

Ick! Spent half an hour going in circles around downtown due to traffic redirection when a mysterious package was found in UBOC Tower!

Who the heck would hit UBOC tower? Well...unless you were a ticked off ex-employee, ticked off at the Japanese, or not happy with the parent company (Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi-UFJ). It's not a major US bank, has little to do with the US in terms of representation (unlike BA). It's not particularly big (unlike Citigroup). It's not close enough to Central Library to do major damage (unlike Citigroup, US Bank, Paul Hastings, Bonaventure, or City National).

Oh well, at least it was a fake and not a real thing. Or, at least it was handled and things opened back up after an hour.

The traffic aftermath was insane though. Couldn't even get near City National Tower! Figueroa was backed up. Beaudry was backed up. Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Wilshire, and Seventh were mass chaos. Olive was backed up. Buses all over the place.
